Learn More About Mockingbird Carolinas, PLLC
Symbolism of the Mockingbird
The Mockingbird is a common bird in North and South Carolina. It is associated with finding one's voice, rising from the ashes, and letting go of what is holding us back from finding our true potential. The Mockingbird reminds us to advocate for ourselves, look for solutions to our problems, and connect with our inner peace.
The Mockingbird holds a special meaning to owner and therapist Perrin Jones who associates the bird with her grandfather who passed away in 2019. According to Perrin, "Whenever I find myself worried about something, it seems to never fail that a Mockingbird will cross my path. I knew that when I took the plunge to start my own practice, the Mockingbird would follow me as a reminder to myself and my clients to advocate for ourselves and live more fulfilling and balanced lives."
Mockingbird Carolinas began in 2023 and provides counseling services virtually in both North and South Carolina specializing in helping clients manage life transitions, cope with depression and anxiety, and heal trauma with a special focus on treating young adults.

Why Mockingbird?
Counseling isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is Mockingbird. We tailor counseling to fit clients' needs including pulling from multiple evidence-based treatment modalities like CBT, DBT, Solutions-Focused Therapy, ACT, and EMDR. We value the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a counseling environment that is nurturing and will allow clients to grow. We recognize that beginning counseling can be a difficult step, and we're here to support you through every step of the process. |
Why Telehealth?
The pandemic changed so much about who we are and how we connect with others. While it was a time of stress and strife, it also highlighted the meaningful connections that we can make to one another in alternative formats. Telehealth counseling is just as effective as in-person therapy and cuts out commute time, making it more convenient to fit your unique needs. |
